BCHA was established as an association of persons dedicated primarily to the promotion and encouragement of interest in horses, their proper care and welfare, and equine activities of an athletic, social, educational and recreational nature.

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO JOIN!

The Boulder City Horseman's Association is a private association of dues-paying members. BCHA members can enjoy a competition arena, two exercise arenas and three round pens with lights. In addition, the BCHA is surrounded by wide open space for desert trail riding.  We are not a riding academy and not open to the public.  Invited non paying continuously accompanied guests of members in good standing are always welcome as long as all bylaws, Boulder City Codes, and State Laws are adhered to.  

Prospective new members please e-mail us at  bchaboard@gmail.com prior to bringing a horse to the BCHA to complete an application and remit all fees required.  

BCHA BYLAW ARTICLE FIVE MEMBERSHIP  Section 5.01 Qualifications. 

Qualifications for membership in BCHA are:

A. Owner of a horse to be kept in the BCHA corrals.

B. Members must be residents of Clark County, Nevada

C. Approval by four members of the Board or a majority of the membership prior to moving any livestock into the corral zone.

E. Payment of membership fees, annual dues, and assessments.

F. A minimum age of 18 years.

BCHA Emergency Alert Broadcast System

Test was performed on 8/27/2019 at 2:38 PM.   If you did not receive a text please e-mail bchaboard@gmail.com with your updated phone number.  This system will be used to alert members as to when emergency water shut down is done or any other emergency that may impact your animals well being occurs.  You may also 

e-mail to opt out of receiving these messages.

 We are open to the public for schooling. Reservations and costs are set through Boulder City Parks and Recreation per horse and due in advance.    ALL LESSONS MUST BE BOOKED THROUGH BOULDER CITY PARKS AND RECREATION 702-293-5296.   

The horseback riding instructors are city employees. They are paid a percentage of the cost of the lessons and ALL registrations and/or payments are taken at the Boulder City's Parks and Recreation main office.  Instructors are only to be conducting lessons through the Parks and Recreation program and not independently at the BC arena.  All lessons are to be conducted in the Boulder City Arena Only.  Participants or their guardian are also required to fill out the BCHA release of liability form provided by BCHA.  

The city has every student sign a City of Boulder City release of liability as well as the BC Horseman’s Association release of liability.

THERE ARE NO PRIVATE LESSONS PERMITTED AT THE BCHA

BILLINGS

10/15/2019:  Billings  have been mailed.   IF YOU DO NOT RECIEVE YOUR BILL WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THIS DATE PLEASE CONTACT  Pam Parker 702-755-9119. Please pay upon receipt as there is no grace period.  Past dues must be paid in full.  In 30 days certified letters will be sent  for non payment to the member and if applicable to the lot/lease holder, this begins the  Termination Process  per Bylaws.  BOOKKEEPER WILL NOT BE AT GENERAL MEETING.

BOOKKEEPER HAS TAKEN OVER ALL DUTIES

As membership voted on the Bookkeeper has assumed all duties as directed by membership.  Therefore please  

 NO CASH FOR PAYMENT, MONEY ORDER, CHECKS OR CASHIERS CHECK ONLY.  PLEASE DO NOT PUT CASH IN THE DROP BOX AT CONCESSION STAND.  THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE MEMBERS AND BOOKKEEPER AS THERE IS NO WAY TO CONFIRM.  BOARD MEMBERS CANNOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS.

UPDATE:  CARETAKER WILL BE WATERING AND DRAGGING ARENA TUESDAYS, FRIDAYS AND SUNDAYS AROUND 4PM. ARENA/EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE IS BEING FORMED TO COVER THE OTHER DAYS AND IF NECESSARY ROADWAYS.  IF INTERESTED IN SERVING ON COMMITTEE CONTACT GEORGE COWAN(COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON) 702-493-8371.
