New members are always welcome!

Qualifications for membership in BCHA are listed below.

  • Owner of a horse to be kept in the BCHA corrals.
  • Members must be residents of Clark County, Nevada.
  • Approval by four members of the Board or a majority of the membership prior to moving any livestock into the corral zone.
  • Payment of membership fees, annual dues, and assessments.
  • A minimum age of 18 years.
  • Please e-mail bchaboard@gmail.com to arrange an appointment to complete an application and pay any applicable fees and dues prior to moving livestock on property.  Must also supply written approval from lot owner with lot number.  If available prefer lot owner accompany new member.
  • Please go to the Bylaws & Attachments section and read to familiarize yourself of the rules and regulations governing the BCHA.


                                                                                IN ADDITION:   

Section 5.02 Types of Memberships. The classes of memberships shall consist of: 

A.  Individual Membership:  Shall consist of those individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older, who have applied for and been accepted as a member of BCHA. This member may run for a Board of Directors position or Officer position at the June Election Meeting. 

B.  Family Membership:  Shall consist of a married couple and/or family (children under the age of eighteen (18) years of age). Proof of marriage must be submitted with the membership application. Spouse and Spouse may vote, run for a Board of Directors position or Officer position. The children of a Family Membership must join BCHA under their own membership if they marry prior to the age of eighteen (18) or within 90 days after their eighteenth (18th) birthday, if single. The $300.00 onetime new member fee will be waived for these children. They must however pay all other dues and assessments in the normal course of being a member. 

C.  Joint Membership:  Shall consist of two individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older and have entered into a domestic partnership. They must provide a signed and notarized certificate from the Secretary of State for proof of Domestic Partnership pursuant to Nevada Revised Statues for the State of Nevada. Both may vote and run for a Board of Director position or Officer position. 

D.  Residents of Subdivision 11 of Boulder City who use the facilities of BCHA for horse related activities. 

Membership, Dues, Fees, Requirements

 

  • When membership class changes you are required to contact board and schedule appointment to fill out a new membership application and provide all certified and/or notarized documents required(marriage certificate, domestic partnership, legal separation, divorce decree)
  •  Initial: $300 as well a prorated portion of the annual dues for the current fiscal year is due when joining the association. 
  • Annual: Determined by membership approved budget
  • Common Utility Charge assessed each quarter
  • Joint members must provide a signed and notarized certificate from the Secretary of State for proof of Domestic Partnership pursuant to Nevada Revised Statues for the State of Nevada. (see Section 5.02 C of bylaws) or certified marriage certificate.
  • Assessments or other fees and charges, which may be levied in accordance with the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations of the Association.
